The only way this can happen is if productivity rises, and one of the theories is that the rising productivity is driven by computers and the internet. (This would help explain the valuations of net stocks, eh? This is exactly the cause of the rise in productivity. I do not believe the net has kicked in as much as it will in a few more years but desktop and laptop computers have made a huge difference. There has been some improvement from the improved communications due to the net but the best is yet to come.
