Have you thought of "What would be the next step for Cyrix MediaGX"?
By its advanced architectures and cost-saving, Cyrix MediaGX is going to enter the family in the pace and the ways that only a few of people could image.
The real MediaGX customers will come from Japan famous home appliance manufacturers with 5 major brand-new lines:
1) Computer TV: TV with build-in PC functions. 2) Computer VCR: VCR with build-in PC functions 3) Computer Cable Box: Set-of-top Cable Box with build-in PC functions 4) Audio NetPC - An portable Audio system with build-in PC functions 5) Student NetPC - a portable study center for students
Since late `90, all these Japanese giants have been experienced longest depression that they never expected. They have been suffered by their achievements: flawless QC. As the result, we all are using 5-12 years old TVs and VCR daily without countering a single problem, and have no urge to buy a new TV or VCR in the next 2 or 3 years unless they offer us with some else that we really need.
Not only to explore an new market towards these Japanese giants, MediaGX based home appliances offer them with an most attractive/powerful sales point for consumers to upgrade/replace their current TC and VCR. So far, I figure out 5 lines. The variety and combinations could be developed to meet various market interests.
Why don't I list American PC box makers at all? Basically, these tier one PC makers, except IBM, Compaq and HP, have no technology behind them, are nothing more than a box maker like our neighborhood PC shop. They do not have the manufacturer experiences and assembly lines for TV and VCR at all. Therefore, it gives Japanese home appliance manufacturers great advantage to produce/market the GX based home appliances without considerable American opponents at all.
Do you believe that these Japanese Giants are so stupid to miss this golden recovery opportunity? I don't think so. We better sit tight before it happens.
However, the Cyrix production capacity is the biggest problem to keep them from adopting MediaGX to implement into their brand new lines immediately. I, again, call for Team of Office to license GX to everyone at $15~$25 apiece to make CYRX a 200+ stock.
:-))
Fuchi ... who loves Cyrix's innovations
To Steve: I do not think that it is wise to do such a short term trade on CYRX as the it could jump 10~20 a day if something like the above event happens, and, then another 10~20 in the next day. Anyway, thanks for your hand-holding option lessons. You are one of the best! |
