I read that the Euro was not used for consumer purchases until next year. If that is so, why does Hanley say "A 10 percent sell-off in the euro...makes it more expensive for Europeans to buy U.S. products like razor blades..." ? Furthermore, Americans still buy gasoline despite a more than 50% increase in its price. Facial hair still grows in Europe, no matter what the currency exchange rate is.
