Short Fuddle:

Would you please kindly explain how this special dividend will cause the shorts pain. If part of the value in the company is spun off I WOULD THINK THAT MDIN WOULD BE WORTH LESS MEANING THE SHORTS WOULD BE HAPPY! If a bunch of people were going to but MDIN just for the dividend they are already in...in fact the stock is down since the announcement.

First off if you were really here to do any DD you would have read my first post when the news came out and you'd have an answer...but I'll spell it out just for the benefit of others...

First off MDIN's share price has increased on the news releases of drilling and assays at Lipangue and LDM. It's obvious that the market is not putting much value on the assets which were placed into the private company Medinah Gold.

Second...normally if you're short a stock and a dividend is issued you must pay the dividend to the person you borrowed the stock from. If the dividend is a stock dividend you have to pay it in stock. Since the dividend is a stock dividend in a privately trading company anyone who is short cannot cover. You either cover the short or have a nice little problem with some lawyers.

in fact the stock is down since the announcement.

Wrong again...if you looked at the price when the news release came out we were at $.46 so actually where up. Now go cover you short!
