Frank I have been reading the posts on Dell for some time and have enjoyed your writings I wonder if you could answer 1 question for me Since I am a new investor there are terms I do not quite understand When you see a stock split listed It will show the pay date and record date I understand the pay date is when the stock splits but what exactly does the record date mean I was looking at Pfizer it shows a 1 paydate and another date for record Does that mean you have to own the stock on the record day for it to apply I would appreciate any ones expertise on this Thanks so much George Schulte
