To be certain John: A person cannot purchase what he cannot afford. If a car sales on the radio says "come on in and get the lowest rate on a brand new car". Do you sell everything you have or find out what the price is for the car?

Don't be sorry for my loss. I have retired and I am comfortable and fairly young by the standard of most dead people. I even get the occasional juicy job for extra pocket money. I made that mistake myself. That is what I attempted to point out. Not that I was smart. That I was a dumb as the next guy.

I got my car but I did have to ask the dealer what I needed to pay for it before I sold my house or cracked an IRA.
