bob, I don't think that the price rose without reason. There was a flurry of orders near the close and I suspect that they were mostly buys. Sooner or later the street will figure out LGND's potential. We have been discussing the upcoming leptin deal as well as the diabetes trial. However, LGND's sex steroid programs are huge and the will command a very large market. Baby boomers continue to age and most of their upcoming problems are addressed by LGND's programs (including LGND's two niches, cancer and women's health). In addition to obesity and diabetes, LGND also has a very large potential in the cosmeceuticals area as well markets targetted by their various strategic alliances. Their new annual report (1966) shoul be coming out soon and LGND's pipeline will put most major pharmaceuticals to shame. Henry
