America's Health Network, a syndicated network cable TV channel, (http://www.ahn.com/) is covering eye healthcare this weekend. I just watched a video of a LASIK procedure on a show called "O.R. Behind the Mask." The program appears to be scheduled again at 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm CST today, and at 12:00 noon and 12:30 pm Sunday. The schedule does not indicate that "O.R. Behind the Mask" will be the same show each time, but my guess is that it is. If you like, you can view a RealPlayer video of both a LASIK and a PRK surgery procedure online at the above web address. On the left side of the page, look for "Health Centers" and click on the "eye care" link. Then in the blue frame titled "More Information" you will see the links for LASIK and PRK under the heading "Video Clips." On another web page within the ahn.com site (http://www.ahn.com/live/lasik/default.asp), Information specific to LASIK surgery is presented.
