The reason is very simple . Gross margins as it now appears were apparently increased not due to selling higher margin goods, rather primarily due to an apparent change in allocating the expense of loss on sales to advert. & promo. Cost of sales is where it seems most other companies place these expenses and where I incorrectly presumed BII placed theirs . This method while apparently being GAAP never the less skews the gross margin picture IMO . All articles I've read have stated BII used these methods for yr.end only not previous qtrs . Hellllllooooooooo Dagan, On March 10th you were comfortable with the company's figures. Have they revealed any confidential information to you which would make you change your mind ???
