Thanks. I was just discussing my bottom-feeding mentality which is the mirror image of momentum investing. Bottom-feeders need to pick the bottom, momentum buyers need to sell at the top. Either way it's the same game. All about timing. If you're right two-thirds of the time you win. Nobody does much better than that for long. Sort of like gambling, huh? Quitting a winner is the key. ggg.

The other issue is patience (or not). Traders say bail as soon as there's a downtick and use stop losses. Tried once and lost. Now if I believe in a stock I'll wait out temporary downturns (like BKS and others now) and buy more to double down. But that takes extra cash, extra balls and is also risky. Again, about picking a bottom and timing. You're either a genius or an idiot depending on your timing.

I expect a tech upturn this coming week, big news on CDNW (hopefully)
BKS and COMS. My best pick for next month seems to be DCTI (which I have been holding for four months) which should announce big plans on June 5th according to their last press release. It's been stuck at a base of around 7 for a long time but has visited the mid teens before and should return there with announcements. I also expect good things from ORCL, WIND. My ISP's are sitting at low levels. When AOL moves they all will.

Safe longer term investments might be the big drug stocks now, esp. PFE.

Just explaining what I'm doing on the few stocks I can follow at one time. I think it's best to study a lot of them then pick the ones you have faith in. Wait good entry points (when others are selling for the wrong reasons) then buy and wait. On the other hand if I see disturbing news, I just dump fast. Like SEEK. It looks cheap but read what's going on. I dumped it. Could be wrong but I didn't want to take the chance of sitting there for a few months while good news stocks went up.

Let's hope we have big gains to boast about next week and beyond. Good luck (and good timing).
