KRT and partners will have to move 100 meters of waterlogged gravel and muck to get to the Kimberlite. They will then have to mine from the bottom of a trout pond. And before they do that they need to prove up a bulk sample that would justify that kind of enterprise.
No one says that there are no diamonds at Fort la Corne. Maybe a dredging operation is possible. But they will have to move a lot of dirt under difficult conditions to get to the ore.
Don't look for a mining decision soon.
Maybe they can dig a 200 deep meter trench and drain the water table from the whole area into the N. Sask. River. But they might find themselves lower that the river so it might not be such a good idea.
