Embattled Banker In Court Dressed As Woman
2:13 p.m. ET (1814 GMT) April 30, 1999
LONDON — Peter Young, the former Morgan Grenfell fund manager accused of conspiracy to defraud, made a second appearance in a London court Friday, again dressed as a woman.

The City of London Magistrates Court transferred his case to the central criminal court, the Old Bailey, but no hearing date was set. He and three others were released on bail.

Young, dressed in a bright red blouse and skirt and wearing make-up and a pearl necklace, was a fund manager at Morgan Grenfell until being dismissed two years ago in an affair that cost German parent Deutsche Bank millions in fines and compensation to investors.

Young has in the past declared himself mentally and legally incompetent to defend a civil action brought against him by Morgan Grenfell.
