To George Gilder: Thanks for your view on third generation wireless being CDMA. Comparison of TDMA to Mac will probably drive Mac fans to shout that TDMA is not in same ballpark as Mac technologically, but point well taken re chance for market dominance.

One further point, do you see the GSM installed base as a major impediment to the CDMA flavor CDMA2000 and an advantage to WCDMA (whatever that turns out to be)? My understanding is that the way WCDMA was put together, it was primarily to prevent the CDMAOne base from having an upgrade advantage over the GSM base. Please comment if you would. (Know this is minor in grand scheme of things but keeps folks on the SI Q thread here active). :-) And some of us think your view would be helpful. Respect. Chaz
