Trying to teach kids that have no desire to learn is a real downer. I understand your wife's frustration; but, tell her to never sacrifice reality nor her moral values. America needs more teachers like her and so do the kids. Unfortunately, she is may be the only reality-based teacher at the school -- from what you say the administration has lost control.
