To Labrador: Thoughts. Sure. Knowledge. None. Guesses. Maybe.

NT is massively misunderstood on this thread, which has some otherwise thoughtful folks, let alone on "the street". NT is supposed to be in the stone age with just old clunky stuff for voice wires and little else.

LU has the "mindshare" that Cisco hasn't locked up tight.

In reality, NT has by far the most comprehensive set of rapid data networking/fiberoptics offerings around. It even has a system to transmit data over electric wires coming up soon in Europe and elsewhere that transformers don't block delivery - such as in the US.

But the primary reason NT is ignored is that it is Canadian. Hard to believe that in this interconnected world that could possibly be so, but IMO it is just a fact.

One specific example of how absurd all the "play" in the press and the street is re NT is that the appointment of Frank Calucci to take over the top job has been ignored in the US. This is an example of how NT is moving toward "Americanization" - meaning toward the US - which has appropriated "American" to mean the US only. :-)
