And, if he is truly a "Father", where did he get the $...>> I suspect by untold ( and or uncounted ....exactly I am not CERTAIN) friends and or associates whom /may/ might/ whatever be classified as either Shipping Tycoons, or babbling baffoons. As one who took a personal enrichment course in Parish Preaching after my dear departed dad passed on after his 50 years in the ministry ...I can badly quote him in paraphrase; "I WAS dam( maybe it was darn) lucky that the parrish/ congregation didn't have a parsonage ( a house owned by the local church for use by the ministers family) in 1960 when he had to purchase that house. That little equity multiplied over the years of double digit inflation..."
As to Father Gregory and my father, they were not part of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Remember there are always sub groups allowed in a free society for all of us to align, affirm, and affix to ( all for the benifit of HIM - not us as such. No, I am not part of Father G's String of Springlambs.) be part of( I just can't end this without having a dangling past or present participle ...just like the Naxos AGM subject of all this discussion.) A vow of poverty is not something to take lightly, and thus, he did not ( they did not) break that vow. More power to those that do, in respect ( and some affinity I might add)...hold to vows, creeds, and all forms of honor.( I just had to correct the word HUMOR...from honor...dam- that is me!
