Reverend Kelley: Look, I am very sorry that the channel-stuffing theory did not work out. You must be bereft. I will do all I can to help you find another obsession to fill the void. Have you thought about vegetarianism? I thought I detected a whiff of interest in your reference to flatulence.
When you advised us to buy DELL at $110 and boasted that you had bought 10,000 at $108 or so, just a few days before it plunged to $75, I did not comment then, as I do not now. Your mate, gene piccoli, was besporting himself here at the time trying to pass himself off as a senior executive of a financial house in Montreal which he likened to Merrill Lynch and claiming that his firm was advising its clients that DELL was "seriously underbought at $115". He ended every post with "COMPAQ is good DELL is better" and advised us all, constantly to buy Dell. Since then the pair of you visit like a couple of mendicant Bhuddist monks dispensing wisdom to peasants.
Sniggers visit this thread a lot because he is fascinated with the rise and fall of the British Empire. But you?
I own part of COMPAQ - that's my excuse. I have never advised anyone to buy it or sell it. I was lucky enough to have made substantial profits with it when I sold in 1996 and again between July 1998 and January, 1999 when I sold for $50 and $47, not to mention the several profitable trades I made when it was ascending from $23 to $51. I have always made clear that I trade it actively, and have tried to inform those interested when I have made a big purchase or sale, such as my at $41 (not $42) and my current average price of $33 (but working on it).
Now you know, does it make you feel better?
