Wow! All I can say is my handy dandy book on o/g industrial exploration practices says each producing state has a rule for a "choke" percent allowable and it says it's because too fast a pressure depletion will inhibit ultimate mineral recoveries, which in turn reduces revenue to the state on mineral royalties. Hey, what do the people in the o/g business know???????? TM
