Appropriate Health Services dba Stayhealthy.com has taken Avalon and shifted its focus from a Kiosk company into a service company. The services include a very rich content web site stayhealthy.com as well as medical devices. The first announcement hints at the future. If you look at the web as a living thing consider that essentially most sites are simply forms of electronic publishing. The e-commerce sites fit into auctions and electronic catalogues similar to that received in your mail put out by Damark and heartland etc. What the new company has done is find a niche wherein they are using a server and the web to handle medical information diagnosis and analysis. Therefore the web becomes truly interactive and is used for information about a person such as physical make up and conditions. It is a new model and promises to change some hitherto unbroken paradigms. Hope this helps. As for your brokerage account. They are probably still showing the last quote. AVAL is no longer an active symbol and AVALON essentially no longer exists as a public company.
