Hello Mohan:

I have read really good reviews of it too.

Except for his book of essays,"Imaginary Homelands", which I read and enjoyed it well, I find his Satanic Verses, midnight's children.. really difficult to read. Started both of them and then put them down.

It is like what they say about Henry James's novels, "once you put them down, very difficult to pick them up again".
(I think it was Mark Twain who said this.)
