Morning Sergio,,you are right about BBD's gains,I guess I was looking at the peak in July and comparing it to the current price..Could be a hot summer, good for the watercraft end of BBD's business..
I'm not so sure daytrading is the way to go(for me anyway). In todays market, I'm more inclined to trade the trend,or momentum direction, if that's a day/hour/minute<g> I guess it is considered a daytrade, but would prefer a longer duration..That said,I intend on holding FLC through the year...but intentions are just that<g>...basically will go with the flow(trend)..BTW, FLC's P&F chart is looking killer, closed the 10.5 box and broke the double top,,but did bounce back off it..Heavy resistance in this area (9-10.5). Earnings should be out Monday,,maybe a decent report(I'm probably dreaming here) will get me through this resistance level. They have taken delivery of 2 of the Deepwater drill ships(10,000' of water capacity-note another is under construction and one is proposed),state of the art vessels..one is already drilling in the Gulf, and the other has arrived in New Zealand and will begin operations shortly, and the third is already under construction and contracted...I am definitely high on this stock,,if you except the fact that shallow water drilling should recover first,,,don't forget..FLC has 30 shallow water rigs, plus 80vessels(barges,tugs etc.), not to mention 20 deepwater rigs(including 7 or 8 under or proposed for construction, drillships,semis,etc.)...Well, I'm rambling-off to work, later DD
PS: the nice thing about these newbuilds coming out-they have contracts written back in the days(years) of higher dayrates..somewhere in the range of $150m-$200m per day for the drillships , with contract duration of 3-5 years..............
PSS: if anyone is interested, please double check my figures-going from memory here<g>
