Thanks for adding and claifying what I had to say Mr. Winn. As usual, I learned by reading what you had to say.

When I suggested Globalstar was going after a certain market, it was meant to distinguish it from what Iridium had done. I agree-- the market must clear all technological offerings, and the market is what must determine price and usage. All goods clear the market at a certain price. You just want them to clear it at a price that maintains the most favorable service for the users and margins for the supplier.

I agree with you that it would be best if Globalstar had a "moving" price, where the customer demand determined exactly what the pricing should be. Get as many subscribers as quickly as possible. If that means lowering the wholesale cost, then lower it. I would rather see 4 million users at $.50 minute (this price includes telco markups) than 1 million at $1.20/minute. In any event the market is what is going to determine the price anyway, and I don't really think the pricing structure that is offered is something fixed and unalterable by any means.

I hasten to add that Bernard Schwartz has stated that the telcos have raised their base price for the Globalstar system, and in checking out that comment I have found that he was stating the facts (as he usually does).

Now I think I will go to that graduate school up north and get my doctorate in engineering.
