First time using the thread. I'm an AT&T employee(former TCI), and when T announced the TCI deal, T's stock dropped about 9 pts. Since, T's stock has gone up at least 35%. The reason I believe for the high premium is that Media One's cable plants are already running at 850mHz, which can provide 2-way capability for telephony. TCI's plants need 5.7 billion worth of upgrade. In my opinion, T's stock will go nowhere near 30. I'm a T and AOL shareholder, and long on both.
