RE: Oracle article...Got it Joe...Thanks to both of you for bringing it back to light.... I think its important for all here to understand what Ellison says re Novl...Novl does have a huge customer base but isn't capitalizing on it and at the same time is losing some of its share...Their new products show some promise...just not enough to offset the competition...so in a way, Ellison is right about their tech. not being "so good". Whose fault is this....certainly not the novell engineers and employees...Hey they just do what they're told to do and collect a paycheck..

I'm sure many of novell employees have ideas for new better products with better capabilities...I'm sure they all keep up with the products offered by competitors...And I sure they have the technical know-how to remain competitive.....Someone a few posts prior said it best...It's not the team that investors dislike, Its the Coaches...Novl's current management, imo, thinks it can remain competitive based on past technologies and laurels....Not gonna do'it!

For Ex, why does Netscape continously pounds a new product out (seems they've got a new product everytime I turn around)...They don't want to lose their edge...Netscape has the competition constantly playing catch-up...Novl had this enviable position once...It can have it again with the right people at the helm...

Regards,
Tony M.
