Epic Oil and Gas Ltd EAS Shares issued 15,743,706 1999-04-28 close $0.24 Wednesday Apr 28 1999 by Brent Mudry Epic Oil and Gas director Val Donovan asserts that David Yue has never promoted Epic, and the Vancouver stock promoter has no relationship with the company, other than buying shares in a private placement last fall. "I know nothing about his activities," says Mr. Donovan. The Epic director notes that he and fellow board member Frank Donis had no idea about Mr. Yue's gypsy-swap deal with Caribbean Development (Hawaii) and had never heard of the Honolulu company before reading a story on Caribbean's suit against Mr. Yue on Tuesday. "It has nothing to do with us," says Mr. Donovan. Last October, Mr. Yue was the biggest buyer in an Epic private placement. In its $200,000 suit, Caribbean claims Mr. Yue reneged on an agreement to transfer 400,000 unrestricted shares to the Honolulu company.
