David, excellent question.

Fills are very fast and almost always good. In those rare instances where I have gotten a fill I felt was unfair, Brown has consistently gone to bat for me, with helpful results in a number of instances.

Reports, however, are different than fills, and as you know, equally important--otherwise one cannot trade a position he or she does not know the status of.

Reports in the first 15 minutes are, I would say, inconsistent, depending on the pace of trading. 5 minutes for starters, but it can range up to 10-15 minutes in busy conditions. Most 9:30 orders are back by 9:37-9:40.

The problem is, it varies a great deal. Friday I got reports back much sooner than this on limit orders I entered before the open.

I am only attempting to give people a realistic picture of what is involved with Brown for people's consideration.
