With 72 years of investing experience (as outlined in your personal profile) you must have accumulated a huge amount of data. I suppose your first archiving media was papyrus.

Few weeks ago, Rocky would have suggested you to buy a Sony HiFD. If you had buy all products Rocky is the promotor, you will already have Syquest, Imation and ORB drives. I think it is better for you to have the same product as more than 25 millions of other users. 3.5 inch diskettes exists since near 20 years and Zip disks will last for the rest of your life (if you are really 87 years old).
