A business friend bought an E-Machine three months ago. It runs OK
but he is unable to install software in it. He has been unable to install Laplink, Quicken, Symantec's scheduling software or MS Office.
Dozens of calls to customer support (software and hardware) have failed to resolve the problem. Symantec told him to buy a "real" computer LOL
Installation attempts generate numerous error messages and or crashes.
He is a busy man and has invested at least 100 hours of his valuable time trying to get it running. If you take into account the value of his time, he could have purchased a top of the line P3 and had money to spare
The machine is currently sitting in a closet where it will remain until some hapless person buys it at his next garage sale!
