I think that NTL is good for a daytrade every day. I am trying to
accumulate enough capital (roughly 30k) to be able to pick up 1000
shares of any stock that is moving. I know it isn't as "sexy" to
trade NTL, NNC, ATY, JDS, TD, BBD.B, BLD, BCE, etc. as it is to
trade the high-flying pennies (MCF, VIP, etc.), but I strongly
believe that there are excellent daytrading opportunities each day
in the big boys. I know that KEITH trades the large cap stocks and
I've seen the Chief post about ATY and PDG quite often.

Remember that as a true daytrader, you shouldn't be "swinging for
the fence" on each trade, you should be trying to hit "singles"
every day. A few "pop outs" and you could be out of the game.
(Pls forgive the baseball analogies, our corporate softball league
starts this week ...)

For instance, NTL had a day's range of $6.25 on Friday. BLD's
range was $2.60. JDS $6.75.

Even if you just caught a quarter of the day's range on these stocks
you could make some nice coin. (Also helps to be able to go short
as well as long, if the opportunity arises.)

As mentioned above, I haven't really tested this theory out, but
from the typical day's range on some of these stocks, I think
the opportunities are there.

Cheers,
Rob

weather - IT'S NO LONGER WINTER IN OTTAWA!!!)
