The CDC wants to label gun ownership a Health Crisis. You'd'a thought they would restrict themselves to firearm injuries or deaths. To me, this seriously impugns the CDC's objectivity in the matter. The CDC and the Tobacco Institute have an important similarity. They both sponsor epidemiological studies. Of course, in the case of the Tobacco Institute, we probably agree that the outcome is predetermined. I don't think the NRA has a corps of winged monkey scientists producing set-piece clinical studies. (Howzat for purple prose!!)
