A new process being developed may be able to incorporate more than this, too.
Times are changing fast. In a few more years you will buy all your memory, processor, cards, flash, everything that now makes up a PC on "device" that is no larger than a microprocessor is now. Using a nonvolatile substance and masking steps, so few no one will believe it. You should see a prototype of the first device in about a year.
Larry, think back to 1983-84, who was one of the largest PC makers and distributors? Commodore. Remember when we went to a 256K chip. The world was amazed. I can remember when Micron went from NMOS to CMOS, from 256K to 1 Meg, from 23 masks to 11, all at one time. The "new" fun is just around the corner.
People will say "sure" but I remember reading in 1983 or so that the CEO of Digital was laughing and asked who would want a PC in their home; now who owns Digital -- a PC maker!
