Bill: Two weeks ago I thought $6-6.50 would easily be enough to clear out inventory, early last week I thought $5.50-6.00 would.... Now, who knows? Prices have dropped a lot faster, a lot farther than I anticipated. Since price is so important in the low end PCs the price elasticity of DRAM on the downside may be just about zip which wasn't the case back in the good old days (early 1998?) of desktops dominating the market. 128MB/PC00 is down to $103 at retail.
