When people hear the word "fraudulent" they think of someone trying to con someone out of money. If that is what you mean by fraudulent the answer is no it was not fraudlulent.

If you mean was it decptive or misleading then the answer is yes I think it was, and after all isn't that what an April fools joke is by definition......misleading. But it was not a solication to obtain money if that is what you mean.
