Aggressive trademark protection is not unusual today, as many inadvertently find out. Corporate agenda in regards to trademark protection can vary widely. Disney is known to protect their trademarks and copyrights quite aggressively. Infringing upon a trademark, for commercial purposes can be quite serious. Wire services are in a particularly vulnerable position when it comes to the factual validity of the material they distribute. The disclaimers employed are quite specific. Any wire service that distributed Bre-X press releases could have sued for the same reasons that Business Wire has chosen to sue the Webnode3. In a sane world where value is recognized, Yahoo gets the cake, and Ya-Hoo gets to eat it.

I have to wonder at the powers that control that entities decision making committees. To the best of my knowledge Business Wire has not been diligent in filing lawsuits against those companies which have profited by using their service. Why would they sue the Webnode3 ?

Maybe the committee was at or near perigee and the measured angle, in radians, from the right ascendant, made conjunction with Mercury, impossible...who knows.
