The amazing thing is the unrecognized cash and subsidiary value that I posted may be off: they own a huge chunk of the spin outs and
some of them also hold cash and have shares in further subsidiaries. Since TMO is buying out some of the subsidiaries (23 is turning into
16 but don't ask me which ones), maybe they will be able to realize
some of this hidden value.
If the buyout guys were smart, they would buy up TMO and all of its
subsidiaries and use the cash to pay for the shares (at a very reduced
price). The value is definately there and the new CEO will do what
he can so his wall street pals recognize it.
