Re:PPOD Richard, When I lived in NYC I would have considered using an online grocery service. Grocery shopping in NYC is hard without a car in small stores (almost like shopping at the 7/11) and expensive. I am across the river in NJ now and grocery shopping is much easier (and cheaper). If the PPOD warehouse model allows them to obtain the groceries at a lower cost (like the NJ chains) and sell at the higher prices of the NY corner stores then the markup might be respectable. Delivery is still hard though ... many NYC building have a doorman & front desk where packages could be left safely (but not too long if they are perishable). A co-worker of mine in Brooklyn has her groceries left in the garage while she is at work (local store, not PPOD).

I have no position in PPOD but I do see potential in very targeted markets.
