1st Amendment + Responsibility = Free Speech

With free speech comes responsibility. Any internet site has the freedom to post what standards for what they deem appropriate and inappropriate. They are acting within their 1st Amendment right to set any standards they want to because all of us are using their service. If you don't like the standards they set, then go to another board somewhere that will accept hyping and scare tactics.

Ideally, we should police ourselves by simply having the integrity to agree to that which we agreed to when we signed up for an account with SI.

Let's end this discussion. This is a CMTR thread not a discussion about constitutional rights. I think we can all agree that hyping people to buy or scaring people to sell is not appropriate. That's all that's being asked is responsibility. I really don't think anyone's talking about policing. Just accountability to post responsibly and as a mature adult.

Again, I'm realizing this post might cause some reaction, but I'd ask that we can all agree on common ground of what I just wrote. Let's focus our energy on CMTR, not on each other.

Many thanks.

Piper
