MediaOne debate. I think the question for AOL to ponder:

Should they let go MediaOne and let ATT acquire them. That would provide them with some ammo to work with Congress to open up the cable industry. They have a higher chance of success after the ATT buyout than without one. Besides, they have good connections/lobby groups in Washington and Virginia etc.

Why team up with MSFT who are themselves being accused of monopolistic behavior by the DOJ. Would it be in AOL's interest to have 2 companies (ATT and MSFT) being scruntized for monopoly?

Lastly with their confidentiality agreement with ComCast, they get a peek at the internal workings of the cable/telecom industry.
