Brian: I talked to Steven Powell on the phone today and ordered an information package on the company. I always have a habit of proper due diligence before going to bed with a stock, so I will be looking over United Keno closely over the next week. Steve is apparently very knowlegable in the world of silver, an area I have absolutely no experience in, and I found him to be very personable and willing to discuss some facts about world silver inventories and present price levels. The company certainly appears to have significant land holdings, and with the present production deficits that have been accumulating, the price of silver has no where to go but up. The reserves of some base metals in the properties are also an added plus. I think adding a silver play to a precious metals component of a portfolio is an excellent way to diversify, whether it is as a hedge or just pure speculation. Other that United Keno and International Avino (thanks Claude), have you heard of any others? There seems to be no short of gold plays, but it seems silver producers are another story.
