Just couldn't let it go huh Neocon?

Neocon, passion to me is not about melodramatics, it's about certainty, it's about taking a position in a time of difficulty. If you can't become passionate when our men and women are being sent into battle. And instead look to straddle a political fence of discourse, then when will you? Young people are being sent into battle, to KILL! And we appear to have an electorate divided between the ones who would rather watch OPRA and the political ones still trying to decide if this is right or wrong. It's easy to say, this is a difficult situation and I can see the benefits either way.

I understand that in academic circles it's look upon as being thoughtful and deep to see only gray areas of right and wrong. But when our country is being called to war, gray area's should be crystalize. Either this is a right and just war or is it not. Saying, well yes....I can see the reasons, but it's being carried out in a pathetic manner is really saying nothing while our men and women our putting their lives on the line every day.

I can't help but feel that if the people on the fence with regard to this war, found out tomorrow their son or daughter was going to the front line. They would come to a position one way or another very quickly. I try to look at war, and the people involved in it, as if their my own children. And ask myself a simple question. Is Yugoslovia worth my child's LIFE!?

Perhaps I'm a bit sensitive in this area because I see very few Republicans passionate about their positions in politics. We have far too many Republican Congressmen and women who look for the most skillful way to straddle a political fence, instead of looking into their heart and mind for a position.

Forgive me for lumping you in with this crowd.

How is that for doing the "fairness thing". :-)

Michael
