North American Vaccine Names Thomas E. Newberry Director, Investor Relations
COLUMBIA, Md., May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- North American Vaccine (Amex: NVX) announced today that Thomas E. Newberry, will join the Company as its Director, Investor Relations on May 11, 1999. In that capacity, Mr. Newberry will have direct responsibility for all aspects of the Company's investor relations program. Mr. Newberry will report directly to Dr. Randal Chase, Chief Executive Officer and President of North American Vaccine.

Mr. Newberry joins North American Vaccine from Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation in Rochester, New York, where he held the position of Director, Investor Relations since 1996. In this capacity, he created the first investor relations program for that company and within the first year helped it attain the best electric utility stock performance for the year, as ranked by the Edison Electric Institute. Prior to this position Mr. Newberry held several positions in that organization since 1979. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from The Rochester Institute of Technology. |
