Yes, STOP the bickering.

While looking through the SI board, I found some interesting news. They may
have been printed before (Porche's very good about posting the news), but I
think it's worth it to see it again. Yes, time and attendence, banking, INS
and FBI are important, but, here's another use for our Identix product (Dated
31 August 1996 on the Automon home page)

"For the past six months, AutoMon has been working with the Florida
Department of Corrections (FDC) on a pilot program to evaluate PAM's
ability to enhance FDC's effort to supervise the rapidly growing
population of probationers within the state.

PAM automates the probationer's or parolee's routine in-office interview
and associated paperwork. The interview station operates much like an
ATM machine. *****The probationer's identity is verified by an Identix
Touchsafe II, a biometric fingerprint scanning device.***** Once identity is
verified, the probationer responds to a series of probing questions
using a touch screen. The questions asked are based on the category of
crime committed and the terms of the probationer's judicially determined
sentence. PAM also allows the officer to communicate with the offender
regarding drug testing, community service or any other supervision
issues. Each interview is electronically captured for use by the officer
for individual case management and for use by the FDC to enhance ma
nagement of staff.

AutoMon is working with IBM in Florida on the integration of IBM
computer hardware and printers into IBM's Signature Series Touch
Activity Center. IBM personnel at IBM's Atlanta Customer Solutions
Center and AutoMon engineers are configuring a systems template for the
PAM System to permit large scale rollout. The integration, rollout,
installation and on-site maintenance will be handled by IBM. In
addition, AutoMon and IBM will work together to provide on-site training
seminars for officers and clerical personnel at each installation. "

Also, the latest annual report by DBII suggest that they may not have a
contract with NEC for now...

"Mr. Klingert added, "We have invested a lot of money and continue to
pursue the patent litigation against one of our competitors. The
competitive environment, both in the U.S. and abroad emphasize the
importance of protecting our development and technology investment.
There has still been no decision by the National Police Agency of Japan
(NPA) with respect to their on-going live-scan evaluation and ****although
our teaming agreement with NEC has, by its original terms, expired we
continue in discussions with this provider of AFIS technology to the NPA
as to their assessment of the current opportunity.**** It would appear that
this procurement is also subject to increased competitive pressures
brought by the six bidders on this project." "

Just somethings to think about.

I believe the nuisance lawsuit ( not including DBII lawsuit, which is a
desparation lawsuit) was filed by an attorney in CA who specializes in taking
small positions in NASDAQ companies and suing if the stock fluctuates more
than a couple of points. If I remember correctly, this frivolous suit was
files in the fall before some legal moratorium took place - I can't remember
what it was. When it happened, Randy called this guy out and told him
that if he proceded, he better have a good case because IDX wasn't going to
lay down. If the trial proceded, IDX would probably file a counterclaim.

All of us LT holders know that Randy is very conservative with both his
accounting and his conference call predictions. In fact Randy plays his cards
so close to the vest, that when he alludes to something in the future, he is
110% sure it will happen. I can't think of anything that IDX said that would
mislead the public.

This is it! Game over.. end of story!
Our astute colleague, Brad Greene, over @ the IDX thread on Silicon Investor
website has uncovered this little piece of information on the Mondex website:

lglobal.com

1) Mastercard has purchased 51% of Mondex - "the" name in smart cards.
2) Verifone is creating an adaptable point-of-sale (POS) payment system using
Identix fingerscanning system.
3) Verifone and Identix are also developing a system for use in electronic
commerce.
4) Verifone has agreements with Mondex and Mastercard to design the
application ond POS technology for use over the phone.
5) Verifone is working with Oracle whose databases include over half the
world's known information.
6) Verifone also has an agreement with Microsoft for Internet e-commerce
development, including biometric identification, and corporate intranet
systems.

If this post isn't enough to convince you of what is just around the corner,
please e-mail me and I will be happy to take your shares off your hands.

Biometric credit cards and internet commerce may be some time off, but rest
assured, if your own IDX today your credit card will have a very large credit
limit.

God post!
I might also add that NEC is teamed with IDX for the Japan contract. I
further believe that IDX was specified with 3 of the 6 bidders for the Japan
contract.

Thanks for the news "Jenny". This is certainly in keeping with what Randy has
been saying about IDX'S relationship with NEC.
The truth will reveal itself eventually,

I don't believe anyone on the board has posted this Feb. 26 article re: SACM.
If so, I've missed it. Is anyone here aware of this company or its market
