Digital River Inc. (DRIV) is rated STRONG BUY by Bankers Trust Research/BT Alex. Brown, with a 12-month price target of $65. The $11.7 million in revenue posted by the company in the first quarter beat the brokerage's forecast by 17%. The brokerage also raised its 2Q99 revenue projections to $14.3 million from $11.5 million and its full-year revenue forecast to $61 million from $51 million.

For 1999, Bankers Trust Research/BT Alex. Brown anticipates a loss of $1.16 per share, but expects that figure to decline to a loss of $0.67 per share in 2000. The brokerage anticipates that Digital River will announce several key customer wins for its new transaction fee-based e-commerce service, CommerceBridge.
