I have a question for anyone out there: I have ADSL from Ameritech in Wheaton IL. using a modem from Alcatel (model 1000) but it does not have phone access so obviously I don't have any need of a splitter.
I've asked the installers why no Phone, after all besides speed one line data and phone is one of the selling points of ADSL. So my question is why don't they include POTS ??
And what is so great about splitterless ADSL the splitter is just a low tech filter??
