Jaffo, You asked if IDX has leading edge technology. My opinion is they have adequate technology and excellent managment (that's absolutely essential). However, for another perspective go to the Fingermatrix thread and read message #53 from Richard Dopkins to Boyd Spencer. For that matter, read all the messages there.

All scanners do reasonably well under ideal conditions, but in the field (like border crossings) where dry skin, oily skin, and dirt are present, Fingermatrix's patented technology has tested superior to any equipment on the market. Why haven't they been more successful? Until recently they were missing the excellent management that IDX has. Now they are not only trying to sell, but they must "mend fences" and restore credibility. Will they succeed? Time will tell, but for sure this is going to be an interesting year for this industry.
