G'day all - Stitch, thanks for an interesting article, and I agree with your suspicion. Right now though, Mahathir probably will keep the lid on for the time being though, since he can ill afford to p*ss everyone off all at once, and the mayhem in Indonesia in the textbook case of what not to do. That said, I think the ethnic chinese, an ever resourceful bunch, see this coming as much as we do. Obviously, Mahathir isn't so dumb either. To ponder this deeper, I wonder if the currency control was an attempt to kill 2 birds with 1 stone strategy!
