Check out this letter I got form Cyrix. M2 at 150+, 166+, 200+ ?????
Is this true?

M2 (6x86 with MMX):
There is no official release date or pricing information for M2.
The M2 processor we are releasing this year will use MMX technology.
MMX is a set of 57 new commands in the CPU for better multimedia.
There may be an M2 upgrade kit sold and supported in the market
(not necessarily by Cyrix) which uses the M2 technology.
Some of these systems will use a single chip, others will require a
voltage regulator module.
There are not yet any comparison charts from us showing how the
6x86 (no MMX) or the M2 with MMX compare to Intel's Pentium
with MMX, Pentium Pro with MMX, P6 with MMX, or AMD's K6.
The M2 (PR150+, PR166+, and PR200+ with MMX) needs P55C (Socket 7)
support, dual
voltage mainboards with an internal voltage of 2.8 and an external
voltage of 3.3.
For a list of mainboards which will probably be compatible (not certain
until M2 release),
see: cyrix.com
and look for boards that are 2.8 volt compatible (marked by red
triangles).
