Jointly Developed 3D Graphics Technology to Use New Accelerated Graphics Port Interface

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 4, 1997 -- Intel Corporation and Lockheed Martin announced they have signed a technology agreement that will bring high-quality, real-time 3D graphics to high-performance PCs in the second half of 1997. Intel and Lockheed Martin's Real3D company will jointly develop a 3D graphics chip that will use the open Accelerated Graphics Port (A.G.P.) interface specification to bring a new level of graphics performance to the PC platform.
