Larry,
Don't you have better things to do with your time? There are a lot of companies that I have little or no faith in, but I don't run over to their boards and post random thoughts. What is it that drives you to take the abuse you take on the Dell thread? I don't understand that type of personality at all.
Dave
p.s. First, I doubt that many would disagree that the primary PC of the future will be a simple display with a simplified motherboard with very few chips. You seem to think, however, that everyone simply buys based on price and that quality, support, and service do not matter (and we've had this conversation before). We should be glad that you're not running a PC company, because the road to today's market is littered with the torn and twisted bodies of PC companies that thought exactly the same way you do (Packard Bell, Acer, ad infinitum). Given that the bad word-of-mouth is already starting about E-machines, I'll bet that in 3 years, they won't even be in the top 10, unless they do something to significantly shift their business model. The world does not look only at price, especially when it comes to more complex products, and you do not see it. |
