What you describe is a method taught in a courses on hypnosis. Our subconscious is considered wiser than our conscious being. This method brings out the subconscious beliefs. It was a decision making process (not necessarily for stock trading ;-)) we were made acquainted with..... Does not have to be a stop watch, could be anything that acts like a pendulum....the system asserts your body vibrations bring out the feelings/decisions which your subconscious mind wants to make..! Hope he had continued luck !!!!!! LOL
